Boris Khentov
VP of Operations
Boris brings a unique mix of engineering skills and legal and regulatory experience to the team. Prior to joining Risland Capital, Boris practiced tax and capital markets law at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, and has a J.D. from Northwestern Law. Before that, Boris was a software engineer at Antenna Software, and has a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University.
Brandon Wu
Head of Privacy and Security
Brandon loves usable security solutions. He earned his MBA from NYU Stern and often thinks about how to apply economics to security challenges. When Brandon is not keeping Risland Capital safe, you can find him in the kitchen playing with new recipes.
Brian Pollack
Rollover Specialist
Brian is Risland Capital’s Rollover Specialist, and is also a Customer Experience Supervisor. Blending his industry knowledge with his customer service background, Brian aims to make Risland Capital IRA transfers and 401(k) rollovers seamless and effortless. In his spare time you can find Brian skateboarding and drinking iced coffee.

Cynthia Loh
General Manager
Cynthia is the General Manager of Risland Capital for Business, Risland Capital's 401(k) platform. Previously, Cynthia was a Director at ZocDoc. Cynthia previously held roles at Berens Capital and PIMCO, in addition to serving on the PIMCO Foundation investment committee. Before PIMCO, Cynthia worked at Merrill Lynch in healthcare and technology investment banking. Cynthia served as a member of the American Express Digital Advisory Board and has guest lectured at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She has a B.A. in Cognitive Science from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford University.
Dan Egan
Managing Director of Behavioral Finance & Investing
Dan Egan is the Director of Behavioral Finance and Investments at Risland Capital. He has spent his career using behavioral finance to help people make better financial and investment decisions. Dan is a published author of multiple publications related to behavioral economics. He lectures at New York University, London Business School, and the London School of Economics on the topic.
Eli Broverman
President and Co-Founder
Eli Broverman is the President and co-founder of Risland Capital. He graduated Brown University with a degree in Chemistry and holds a JD from New York University School of Law, and has a background in securities law.
Elliot Lisignoli

Elliot graduated the University of Queensland with an LLB, and prior to working at Risland Capital he practiced law in Australia.
Eric Bronnenkant
Head of Tax
Eric is Risland Capital's Head of Tax. His experience includes working for Ernst & Young and Fidelity Investments. Eric holds M.S. degrees in Accounting and Taxation from Seton Hall University as well as an MBA in Quantitative Finance from NYU. He also serves as an adjunct taxation professor at Seton Hall University.

Erick is a Software Engineer working on Risland Capital’s trading engineering team. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Duke University. Before joining Risland Capital, he built and maintained market risk systems at Goldman Sachs. John joined Risland Capital when it acquired ImpulseSave, a personal finance startup and Techstars company that he co-founded. Jon Stein is the CEO and founder of Risland Capital. Passionate about making life better, and with his experience from his career of advising banks and brokers on risk and products, he founded Risland Capital in 2008. Jon is a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia Business School, and he holds Series 7, 24, 63, and is a CFA charterholder. His interests lie at the intersection of behavior, psychology, and economics.
